DIY Summer Flower Tea Lights

Summer

Enjoy your Summer nights outdoors a little bit more with these pretty pressed flower tea lights! This is an easy project for both kids and adults to do and brings flower happiness into your home. You can use these at your next al fresco dinner, along your windowsill, etc. to set that Summer mood with colorful flowers and glow.

We used flowers we purchased (linked here) but you can make this project extra special by picking and pressing your own flowers. You can find personalized flower presses at Little Owly, order yours here! You can use any glass containers, we used our recycled Oui Yogurt ones (linked here) but any small jar will work. You will use your paint brush to brush a small area of the jar with Mod Podge and then press your flower on. Continue the process until you've covered the jar as much as you'd like. Once dry, place tea light and enjoy!

Supplies Needed:

Steps:

  1. Brush a small area with the Mod Podge using paint brush,(work in small areas because it dries quickly), press a dried flower onto the Mod Podge.
  2. Continue the process until you’ve covered the jar as much as you’d like.
  3. Let everything dry.
  4. Once dry, turn on your tea lights and place inside your finished jar.
  5. Enjoy!
